WHAt can i exPECT on a psycHEDELIc journEY?
A psychedelic experience consists of various phases. When using safe and legal truffles containing natural psilocybin, we generally distinguish four phases in the psychedelic journey:
1. Entry phase
(approx. 1 hour): the first hour after ingestion can be slightly challenging for some people. First of all, it’s normal to feel a bit nervous. You may notice slight changes in your perception. Your body temperature may fluctuate. You can feel off-balance. This is why it’s important to create an atmosphere where the mind and body feel sufficiently calm and relaxed to let go and surrender to the effects. Breathe. Relax and let go.
2. Immersion Phase
(1 to 3 hours): as from the moment you allow your mind and body to go with the flow, you will feel your consciousness floating off into a realm of infinite possibilities. You can dive deep into your own thoughts or feelings or memories. On higher doses, it is possible for the ego to dissolve. You can have a strong sense and profound understanding of love, compassion and unity with the universe.
3. Reflection Phase
(3 to 4 hours): you will notice that the most intense sensations will subside, gently flowing away in waves. Your rational way of thinking will come back to take control over your mind again. People feel the need to express a sense of wonder and deep gratitude. You will have gained a broader perspective on the world or even your place in the universe.
4. Emergence Phase
(4 to 5:30 hours): when the last waves of the effects have subsided, you can feel a bit fragile. People may need some time in silence. It can be a bit demanding to interact with others. This is also a good time to have a cup of tea. Small food and bites will help to regain a sense of presence in the body. You can have renewed clarity on your intention. Breathe. Hydrate.
An attitude of openness
Have faith in yourself and know that whatever you encounter on this journey needs to arise.
You may gain beautiful insights, feel ecstatic and blissful – but you may also come face to face with your fears or other issues that you may need to address.
Don’t resist such challenges and move into the spaces you are led into. The harder we try to hold on to something, the more challenging it gets. So let go. Try to relax into your experience. Feel what you need to feel. Look deeply into what you’re seeing. Remember that all things change and that when we can relax into that ever-changing reality, things become much more fluent and easy. Also in daily life.
